Old Age Security (OAS) payments were increased by 10% for seniors aged 75 and older in July 2022 while seniors aged 65-74 did not receive any increase.
Over 2 million people are left out by the Liberal government’s decision to create a two-tiered system. Creating such a two-tier system leaves thousands of people who need help behind.
The rising cost of living impacts ALL seniors, not just those over a certain age. Far too many seniors are living in poverty and can’t afford basic necessities like groceries, rent, or their medication.
Seniors built this country. These are our parents and grandparents and they deserve respect and to retire with dignity.
